Summer is finally here, and the reading program is in full swing! The month of June is busy here at the library. We will have programs on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s. Make sure to reference your registration e-mail or our Facebook page for all the details!

We have two fun guest coming this month as well. Great Plains Nature Center will be here June 11th to give an animal presentation.

June 18th is our biggest event! Kim Noller will have an interactive music presentation for us! You won’t want to miss this!

If you have registered online make sure you have picked up your log sheets and bingo sheets so you can get started.

The selection for book club this month is Hello, Beautiful by Ann Napolitano. Copies are available at the library. This group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00.

Summer Reading registration starts May 5th. We have a new option this year, you will be able to register on-line! We have some exciting things planned for our summer program. The first step is registering, so make sure you head over to the link and do that. Once you have registered you will receive an e-mail with all of the details, and schedule of events.

We are super excited to welcome Kim Noller on June 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Haven Community Building. She is a wonderful musician that will share her talents. She has written a song specifically for our summer program! Make sure to not miss this!

Adults will have a chance to participate in the fun this summer as well. We will have Reading Bingo again this year! Make sure to register and pick up your sheet at the library.

Book Discussion will meet on May 19th @ 7:00. The selection this month is Words on Bathroom Walls by Julia Walton.

Happenings in April at the Library!

Book Discussion this month will be on April 21st @ 7:00 p.m. The selection is The Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michelle Richardson. Copies are available now if you would like to join in on the fun!

Toddler Time will continue on Wednesday mornings @ 10:30. This program is geared towards ages 2-4. We read stories, do an age appropriate craft or activity. We also try to include enrichment such as songs and scarf play. We would love to have you join us.

We are getting geared up for Summer Reading. Sign up will begin next month, make sure to watch for all the details!

Book Discussion this month will be on March 17th @ 7:30. The selection this month is Fredick Backman’s BearTown. If you are interested in joining you may inquire at the library. Copies are available for check out.

Toddler Time will continue on Wednesday mornings @ 10:30. If you have any questions feel free to reach out! This is a great interaction time for ages 2-4.

The Library is still looking to fill the Children’s Librarian position. If you are interested in knowing more, you can check out our job listing on FaceBook or inquire at the library.

The library has been buzzing lately! The cold weather always seems to bring more people in to find the perfect book. We also have jig saw puzzles that you can take home and enjoy. The children’s areas have also been popular with it being to cold to play much outside!

The book discussion selection this month is Beartown by Fredrik Backman. Books are available now at the library. The group will meet February 17th @ 7:00 p.m.. If you are interested in joining inquire at the library. This group is hosted by the Friends of the Haven Public Library.

Toddler Time is held on Wednesday mornings at 10:30. Come join in on the fun! We read books, have interactive music time, age appropriate crafts, and end with a snack. This is a great opportunity for socialization for kiddos and their parents!
