Fall is in the air here at the library, and that means BOOK SALE time! It is once again time for our annual book sale. We have a ton of books just waiting to be taken home. This year we have a large assortment of Junior Fiction and Junior Non-fiction in addition to our Adult books. We will be running this sale thru the month of October during our regular business hours. Thank you to our Friends of the Library volunteers, we will be open on Saturday October 5th during the city wide garage sales. 8:00-11:00 a.m.

Megan is still continuing on with her toddler time on Tuesday afternoons. If you have any questions feel free to call us here at the library.

The book club selection this month is Let him Go by Larry Watson. Copies are available for pick up at the library. The discussion group meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00p.m. here at the library.

We have some new and fun things planned for this winter, so make sure to stay tuned! As always you can keep up to date on our Face Book page! We would love to see you, come grab a book!

Exciting things are happening at the library!

We have been busy rearranging for our new Junior Fiction shelving. Things might look a little different the next time you visit. We are excited for this upgrade!

Friends Book Discussion:

September 17th @ 7:00 p.m.

Defending Jacob by William Landay.

Copies are available now at the library.

Toddler Time has started back up. The group meets every Tuesday @ 2:30 for a story, music, and sensory games. Come join in on the fun!

If you are interested in joining our Friends of the Library organization we have sign up forms available, just ask a librarian.

AUGUST AT THE LIBRARY

Things have slowed down a bit here at the library as school is getting ready to start up. We sure enjoyed seeing all of our readers this summer. Our program was a huge success, and we have all of our loyal patrons and book lovers to thank for that!

Megan will begin her Toddler Time on August 20th at 2:30. This is open to any kiddos up to age 5. If you have any questions feel free to call the library or check out our Face Book page.

Friends of the Library Book Discussion will be August 20th at 7:00 p.m.. This month they have selected Silver Star by Jeanette Walls. Copies are available to pick up at the library.

July Events

We have been busy with readers of all ages here at the library. This summer has been great!

Summer Reading will be wrapping on July 9th. That will be the last day to record you books, make sure to bring in your Popsicle sheets for your prizes.

We will celebrate with Jammin Randy on July 11th @ 2:00. Come join in on the fun. We will also have an ice cream truck for a treat for our readers!

July Book Club selection is This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper. Copies are available now. Discussion will be July 16th at 7:00 p.m.

JUNE HAPPENINGS

Summer Reading is in full swing here at the library. If you haven’t signed up to join the fun yet there is still time! Story Time will begin June 4th @ 2:30 and SRX (Summer Reading Extra) will begin June 6th @ 2:00. These events will run thru the month of June. Reading will continue through July 9th.

Friends of the Library will continue to host their book group thru the summer. The pick for June is

West With Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge. Copies are available for check out.
